Product Overview

The Dead Crow Decoy is another great way to create a hostile environment for unwanted, pest birds. Replicating the appearance and feel of a real crow, the Visual Scare Feather Crow is indistinguishable from the real thing to birds. Hanged right side up it will scare off sparrows, starlings, pigeons and other small birds. Hanged upside down it will convince crows and ravens of danger and they will stay away.

Why choose the Visual Scare Feather Crow:

• Effective against both large birds (crows and ravens) and small birds (pigeons, starlings, sparrows)
• Effective control with no noise, chemicals or poisons
• Nothing to maintain (simply hang it and it will start working instantly to scare away birds)
• No need to worry about batteries or electricity (Ideal for high places)
• Portable – take it with you when you’re camping or RVing

The Visual Scare Feather Crow™ is a simple but effective way to keep crows, ravens and smaller birds off your roof, deck, yard, garden, orchard or other property.

Features:

• Exact replica in look and feel (actual feathers used)
• Menacing size 62 cm in height, 20 cm in width & 15 cm in depth.
• Two separate strings for hanging right-side up or upside down

Hang it upside down or right side up and make it as visible as possible . This menacing visual decoy sends a simple message out to the bird world - DANGER

Create and maintain hostility in the area you want to guard.  To increase your success rate add our Sonic Bird Xpeller Pro 1 or 2 depending on which bird you are trying to distress. Naturally-recorded predator sounds create the illusion that the area is not safe which will add another dimension of danger with live and real bird distress calls. The idea is to make the area as unwelcoming as possible; if it is no longer an easy source of food, they will move to other areas.

All Birds Off products have been trialled and tested and do not harm birds. Products are not sold on a trial and return basis. Pls make your choice of bird deterrent carefully since there are many variables in consideration of bird control: environment; character and motivation of species; breeding or roosting cycle; hunger or tameness of the birds. Consider your overall strategy when preparing your deterrents. Sometimes , one or more products might be needed to increase bird control success rates. Dead Crow Decoy

Posted by Robyn on 16th Feb 2024

We have a very aggressive crow in a school environment and the dead crow decoy has been placed in various spots around the school over the last few weeks. We are hoping during nesting season this will calm the male crow down. It is a very realistic dead crow.

    Fantastic - really effective

Posted by Liam on 17th Aug 2023

We bought 2 of the dead crow decoys and they've been fantastic. They not only have stopped the crows flying into our house windows, but also from attacking the cars. They're so effective, a fox actually stole one that we accidentally left out overnight so we had to buy another.

More enjoyable Golf, with decoy crows!

Posted by Cameron Harvey on 8th Apr 2023

We had up to 40 reports per day from golfers, about crows stealing their golf balls. The decoy crows are life-like and are a great size for easily hanging in the trees. From the moment we hung them in the trees, the real Crow population became distressed and left the areas. Over the past few weeks, they have work extremely well in keeping the crows at bay and we have less than 5 being reported each day now. I just need a few more to cover all our holes. We had up to 70 crows sighted on our course, but the numbers have dropped.

    Works a treat

Posted by Simon on 30th Sep 2022

We have had crows sitting on the street lamps, cawing relentlessly at 5am waking us up every morning. I bought one of these based on the reviews and hung it on the roof. It seemed to work periodically. Some times the crows wouldn't bother us, some times the dead crow wouldn't bother them. Despite changing its location as recommended, the crows kept coming back. One night the dead crow fell off the roof and I didn't bother putting it back up. Then a few days later I saw a couple of crows strutting around on the front lawn. So i thought I'd just plonk the dead crow on the lawn and see what happens. The next day about a dozen crows swarmed the area, circling our house, swooping on the dead crow, making an absolute racket. As one reviewer mentioned I too thought "what have i done?!" After 10 minutes of that they all flew off. Haven't seen them since, only hear them in the park down the street. It seemed to work best when it was flat on its back in an open area. We also get doves crapping all over our back patio, table and chairs. Put the dead crow on the table and the doves haven't been back. It definitely works! Its just a matter of finding out where to put it for maximum effect.

    Better than a real crow!

Posted by Kylie on 29th Sep 2022

We have sheep and goats. I ordered 2 of these artificial crows after a baby lamb fatality due to a real crow. I ordered and they arrived within the week. The problem crow was visiting multiple times daily and within 2 days he avoided the paddock. I am really impressed with their quality and appearance. They are lifelike and large enough to deter a real crow. I move my artificial ones around every few days to a new area of fence line. Recommend these highly.

    Love these crow decoys

Posted by Karen on 13th Jun 2022

After recommending these to a Central Qld mine site, they were extremely successful in detering the crows as well as other bird species. I purchased some more to trial at another mine site and so far they are amazed with how well they work! I will trial at other areas onsite, already knowing it will be a success. Best way to deter crows, safe for them and safe for people! And as a qualified Environmental Scientist and Animal Ecologist, I 100% support this kind of management!

Crows reacted very strangely to this monster-sized decoy

Posted by Rich on 16th Apr 2022

Crows in my neighbourhood reacted very strangely after I hung this monster-sized decoy from my backyard tree. They stared and cawed at the decoy from the grass below. Then they jumped on the tree and kept staring and cawing at the decoy from a nearby branch. Suddenly the branch broke and the crows became terrified and flew away. They kept cawing for a few hours then went a few hundred metres down the creek, so I could only hear them faintly. Lots of walkers stop and stare at the decoy too, commenting on how huge it is. One walker thought it was a real crow but I explained it's too big to be real. The decoy is the talk of the town! I will try hanging it from a new 2 metre pole on my roof and see how it goes.
